There are many commercial YouTube summarizers, but I couldn't find an open-source one that truly fit my needs. So, I built YouTubeTLDR: a simple, self-hostable solution that uses the Gemini API without much bloat. I went with a synchronous approach + threading which was a nice break from Tokio.
