ytcast – cast YouTube videos to your smart TV from command-line
hi, this is a project I've been working on and off for the last three months, it's my first non-trivial, non-hello-world, actually useful (at least to me) go project. it would be very nice if you could just try the program and see if it works on your setup! the readme[0] explains how it works, why I wrote it and how it fits in my "command-line centric" computing environment (there is also a video demo[1] :)). if you know go, feel free to take a look at the code and review it! I'm still pretty much new to go and I'd love to hear opinions, feedback and tips from more seasoned go developers :)…
In plain words
ytcast is a command-line tool written in Go that casts YouTube videos to smart TVs. Designed for users who prefer terminal-based workflows, it allows video streaming to be initiated directly from the command line rather than through graphical interfaces. The tool was created as the developer's first substantial Go project and is intended for command-line-centric computing environments.

Hi All, I felt like I was re-inventing the wheel by bolting similar channel architectures onto different Go structs repeatedly so I decided to extract some common types into into one library so that they would be easier to re-use: - oneshot - spsc - spmc - mpsc - mpmc - broadcast - watch The types are inspired by Rust channels so if you're coming from Rust they should feel familiar. So far I'm really enjoying using them but it'd be great to get some external feedback if you have time! https://github.com/amorey/gochan Andres

Hello HN! I’m a bachelors student pursuing Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Signal processing and during the year I had the goal to build my first AI Tool and launch it. I got inspired by how capable Whisper is, and combined the Whisper CPP Bindings along with FFMPEG.Wasm to create a tool that is capable of transcribing and captioning video files that contain one or more video tracks. Along with that, I’ve also added the support for transcribing audio files with the option to export those outputs as .SRT, .WebVTT or simply a text file. All done privately on a user’s web browser with…
