Hello hackers, I just launched a new MVP It's a todo app using mapped todo lists instead of regular lists ! https://ymappr.com It's bugged and very beta, but I released this complex MVP in only two weeks ! (+ made while relocating from Thaïland to Vietnam, and even while being sick). Needless to say, despite the raw interface, a lot of efforts was put into this. Hi HN! Flocklist.app is a minimalist, private dependency tracker. I mostly just built this for myself, since I would sit down to work, look at my to-do list, and I couldn't do 2/3 of the tasks. None of the solutions to this really cut it, either because they are a little clunky or are enterprise scale (like Jira, Linear, you know the rest). I figure I can't be the only one with this problem, so I built this free app to fix it. (It also doesn’t store tasks in the cloud.) I would love to hear any feedback you have!

We initially built this app for some friends in a co-living community - they were using pen and paper to track who's attending lunch - but it was error-prone. This is my personal todo app, which I made a while back after the original https://xit.jotaen.net/ post. tuido is written in go, with the bubbletea tui framework. My daily workflow involves creating YYYY-MM-DD.md and taking notes, many of which are effectively low-level todos that fall below the threshold for more public or involved issue trackers. Problem was that these half-hazard todos weren't tracked at all. After seeing the [x]it spec, it seemed clear that a little tooling could fix this. I've been reasonably happy with it.

Right now it pulls in data from meetup.com for upcoming meetups in several populous cities so it's not just an empty map. You can also click on the map to put up your own post. I got pretty overwhelmed with Notion, Trello, etc. (Even though they are great tools!) as an indie dev, so I built an app that is simpler to use and perfectly suited for an indie like me :) You can basically divide your projects into multiple milestones (a milestone could be e.g. a new version), and the milestones can have multiple tasks that are either todo, in progress, or done. I've always been frustrated with the complexity of todo mobile apps. I use Todoist and Notion to manage my work, for instance, but every time I'm out and about and think of a task I need to capture, the mobile apps feel too complex. Or I might think of a feature to add to a product, but don't want to deal with Linear's mobile web view. So, I built Defer: a simple iOS "capture" app that syncs to your menu bar on your Mac. No signup needed, it all "just works" with your Apple ID. Intentionally simple and lightweight.
