This is a project I've been working on since the start of Covid-19. I built an app so that I don't have to put data into online tools like JWT debugger, JSON formatter, URL decoder, etc... https://devutils.app The app works entirely offline and is open-source. I'm selling the pre-built version of the app to earn some revenue for my time. If you want to try the app but can't afford the price or don't have XCode to build the app, drop me an email (my profile), I'll be happy to provide you a free build. I would love to hear all the feedback/suggestions. Thanks!

Hi HN, I hacked together Yurl.ai last week—a bare-bones URL shortener in F# / .NET 9 using a simple CQRS + event-sourcing setup. The gimmick: for each new link, it grabs the page text and asks a small language model to suggest a short, readable slug (4–8 chars). I’m curious whether these model-made names beat the usual random hashes. Tech bits: Actors as aggregates SQLite for both event store and read model Source (MIT): https://github.com/OnurGumus/YURL Live demo: https://yurl.ai (free tier—please be gentle) Happy to hear what you think.

I thought cookie clicker but with yubikey taps might be funny, and this is a proof of concept. Cloudflare did something similar in 2021, pitching yubikey-proven taps as a captcha replacement: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=27141593 Cloudflare's idea of proving personhood with yubikey taps wasn't well received at the time. But here for a silly game, I think the idea holds up better. We can prove that you have a key, and serially tapped it a lot. If you automate activating the touch sensor on a physical key, you might be able to do a bit better. That's cool and you deserve…

Hi HN! I've created [UFreeTools](https://www.ufreetools.com/), a collection of developer utilities (60+ tools and growing) that's completely free, ad-free, and runs entirely in the browser. No data leaves your device - everything is processed locally. ## Background As a developer, I found myself constantly searching for simple utilities like JSON formatters, UUID generators, and color pickers. Most existing options were cluttered with ads, required sign-ups, or sent data to servers. I wanted clean, fast tools that respected privacy. So I built UFreeTools as a modern SPA using…
