OP here. I built this because I recently caught myself almost pasting a block of logs containing AWS keys into Claude. The Problem: I need the reasoning capabilities of cloud models (GPT/Claude/Gemini), but I can't trust myself not to accidentally leak PII or secrets. The Solution: A Chrome extension that acts as a local middleware. It intercepts the prompt and runs a local BERT model (via a Python FastAPI backend) to scrub names, emails, and keys before the request leaves the browser. A few notes up front (to set expectations clearly): Everything runs 100% locally. Regex detection…

Support teams handle hundreds of tickets but rarely analyze them systematically. Patterns like workarounds, feature confusion, or rising escalations often surface too late. This tool: Analyzes Zendesk tickets daily (last 7 days vs 30-day baseline) Detects workaround language, expectation gaps, and escalation trends Sends Slack alerts when thresholds spike Includes real customer quotes for context Built with TypeScript, Vercel, Supabase, Slack SDK, and Claude for extraction and categorization. Free for now. Would love feedback from support leaders or B2B builders.

I built the desktop app that detects and redacts personal data (or PII) locally without sending any text to server. It supports rule-based filtering and AI model-based redaction (eg openai privacy filter). It's open source and free. Please check out the repo and https://pii-gui.vercel.app/

Hi HN, I'm Jiasheng, co-creator of ZenStack. Access control usually ends up scattered across app code instead of living with the data model — and that's riskier when the code is written by an agent, since it's easy to ship a query with a missing or incomplete authorization check. ZenStack enforces policy (RBAC/ABAC/relation-based) directly at the ORM layer, on top of Kysely, so every query gets checked the same way regardless of who wrote it and who is calling it. Postgres RLS is an option too, but it's hard to maintain and scale, and it's Postgres-only — ZenStack's approach is…

What PII-Shield does: It's a K8s sidecar (or CLI tool) that pipes application logs, detects secrets using Shannon entropy (catching unknown keys like "sk-live-..." without predefined patterns), and redacts them deterministically using HMAC. Why deterministic? So that "pass123" always hashes to the same "[HIDDEN:a1b2c]", allowing QA/Devs to correlate errors without seeing the raw data. Key features: 1. JSON Integrity: It parses JSON, sanitizes values, and rebuilds it. It guarantees valid JSON output for your SIEM (ELK/Datadog). 2. Entropy Detection: Uses context-aware entropy…
