Hi HN, I've been waiting to post what I've been working on for a few weeks now:) Today we're launching LayerVault, which is a version control system made for designers. The URL is http://www.layervault.com LayerVault keeps track of what you're working on without adding extra steps to your process. The app runs in your toolbar and tracks changes you make to your files. Basically — each time you create or modify a file you’re working on, LayerVault saves a copy. You can then login, flip through its versions, and download a version from a few weeks ago. It's pretty neat — and we’ve built some…

I've made an open-source microframework for creating command-line (CLI) applications in the Zig programming language. It's called Chilli, and it currently provides the following features: - A declarative API for defining nested commands, flags, and positional arguments. - Type-safe parsing of arguments from the command line and environment variables. - Automatic generation of formatted `--help` and `--version` output. - Support for command aliases, persistent flags, and other common CLI patterns. You can find the project on GitHub: https://github.com/habedi/chilli

You can think of it as a desktop version of Gitpod / Coder / GitHub Codespaces less polished and with less features but 100% free and open-source. At the time of writing, it only works with Visual Studio Code and AWS. In order to let you configure your development environments easily, I’ve chosen to use Docker with…
