I've been working on a side project called Streak.ly with a friend of mine for the past month or so; it's intended to help keep you motivated to do otherwise mundane daily tasks (like do 10 pushups, read for an hour, etc.) by letting you log "streaks" — consecutive days in a row of doing something. It's in private alpha/beta/gamma/whatever right now (has some rough edges to clean up), but is more or less functionally complete and pretty stable. I'm a big fan of the Seinfeld calendar, and have seen other services which do similar things but were unsatisfying to use, either from an aesthetic…

http://impromptudo.com is a small project I've been working on. Just a webapp for now but I think it qualifies as an MVP. Also has a mobile version at the same url or http://m.impromptudo.com. Right now it pulls in data from meetup.com for upcoming meetups in several populous cities so it's not just an empty map. You can also click on the map to put up your own post. Trying to stay away from making it all social networky, there are plenty of those already.<p>Finally, I'm not a designer, as you can see.

Before I tell you what we're trying to do, please take a look and see if you can figure it out for yourself -- after all, that's what our public website is for isn't it? http://salesathand.com/ (Why isn't this becoming a link?) Okay, back? If you didn't get it from our website we are doing mobile point of sale and electronic menus for restaurants, cafes, vendors, and retailers. We have the prototype done and we have some initial customers that are really interested in what we're doing but we want to try to bring more people on board and generate that elusive buzz with our public website. We…

I read "The Flavor Bible" and was inspired to make an app that adapted its ingredient recommendations as you built your recipe. The result is my app for android/iphone. The iphone link is below(made it free for today) and the android app is called "food flavor pairings"

I am presenting for your consideration not so much the Facster.com website (a prototype with some rough edges) but the underlying technology. I’ve long been dissatisfied with the availability and presentation of raw data on the internet. Here is what Facster does: 1) All data from any source on one unified graph 2) Time series data presented in original n-dimensions 3) Full key-word search 4) Browsing by the original publisher’s organization 5) Data selected from any source joinable to any other selections 6) Full data provenance, sources, footnotes, etc. Superficially Facster supports…
