In plain words
Koi is a programming language designed to teach how language implementation works. Written in Ruby rather than a low-level language, it prioritizes clarity and accessibility over performance, making its implementation straightforward to understand and follow. It is intended for people who want to learn the fundamentals of building a programming language by studying how Koi itself is constructed.

Several months ago I started on a quest to learn more about how programming languages work internally. Today I am releasing my first programming language: Koi. Koi is designed, above all else, to be a language whose implementation demonstrates the basics of how to build a language in a straight-forward way. Most programming language implementations are written in low-level languages like C in order to maximize performance, and this generally makes them very opaque and difficult to follow. In order to avoid this problem Koi is written from the ground up in Ruby to make sure that the implementation language never gets in the way of the intent of the code. Koi will likely never be suitable for…from thingsaaronmade.com

I've been working on a side project called Streak.ly with a friend of mine for the past month or so; it's intended to help keep you motivated to do otherwise mundane daily tasks (like do 10 pushups, read for an hour, etc.) by letting you log "streaks" — consecutive days in a row of doing something. It's in private alpha/beta/gamma/whatever right now (has some rough edges to clean up), but is more or less functionally complete and pretty stable. I'm a big fan of the Seinfeld calendar, and have seen other services which do similar things but were unsatisfying to use, either from an aesthetic…

http://impromptudo.com is a small project I've been working on. Just a webapp for now but I think it qualifies as an MVP. Also has a mobile version at the same url or http://m.impromptudo.com. Right now it pulls in data from meetup.com for upcoming meetups in several populous cities so it's not just an empty map. You can also click on the map to put up your own post. Trying to stay away from making it all social networky, there are plenty of those already.<p>Finally, I'm not a designer, as you can see.

Before I tell you what we're trying to do, please take a look and see if you can figure it out for yourself -- after all, that's what our public website is for isn't it? http://salesathand.com/ (Why isn't this becoming a link?) Okay, back? If you didn't get it from our website we are doing mobile point of sale and electronic menus for restaurants, cafes, vendors, and retailers. We have the prototype done and we have some initial customers that are really interested in what we're doing but we want to try to bring more people on board and generate that elusive buzz with our public website. We…
