I am happy to announce the updated release of my web app, 7courses. http://7courses.com/ 7courses makes it ridiculously easy to jot down and manage your collection of recipes. As someone who cooks, I often find recipes online or in cookbooks, but have no way to organize them. I have been looking for a digital "recipe box". That is, no registration, no game setup, as few steps as possible to actually start playing. There's not much substance here right now and there's still a few bugs that need to be hammered out. I love to use Flipboard on my iPad, but I was bummed that the experience couldn't follow me to the phone or desktop, so I decided to do something about it... @jasonrr and I just launched a side project we've been working on over weekends for the past couple months: http://airshipsoftware.com/precorder . Precorder is a video recording app that constantly saves the past few seconds before you ever hit the record button, so you can wait until something interesting happens to start recording without worrying about missing a precious moment or winding up w/ hours of boring footage. From inception Thursday night to near-feature-complete on Sunday morning, I consider it one of my better weekend hacking projects. http://leftright.me/ I built it with node and Redis which was particularly fun. I finished building Codr.cc last night. Codr is a code snippets sharing website much like pastie or snipt.org, but with a few innovations. First is that it autodetects the language and highlights it accordingly. The second, killer feature, is that it allows you to create snippets from files on your computer. Hey Guys, Would love some feedback on a javascript library that I am working on. It's designed to ease the pain with implementing touch support (and maintaining mouse support also) when implementing interactive web apps / demos. http://sidelab.github.com/interact/ I'm basically re-implementing (and improving in the process) the interaction handling I had built in Tile5 (HTML5 Mapping Library). Hi HN, I just launched SaveThatCall, which allows users to record and download phone calls in MP3 format. I built it after having a personal need to download a recorded voicemail message and finding no easy and inexpensive way of doing it. http://www.savethatcall.com It is built using Google App Engine and Twilio, with payment processing through PayPal and some audio file work done with a Python script running as a daemon on Dreamhost.
