Can you spot a winner before the votes come in?
Every product here has a Call it button. A call says: this one will finish near the top of its launch day. Calls are votes here, added to the votes on the launch boards, and they enter you in the month's competition.
Scoring
- A call is scored 24 hours after the product launched, by where it finished among that day's launches on its board.
- Finishing first is 10 points, second 7, third 5, anywhere in the top ten 2. Below that, nothing.
- Calling early pays: a call made while the product had 3 votes or fewer counts double, 15 or fewer one and a half times.
- After a call you can draw how you think the votes will climb over the next 24 hours. A sketch that matches the real curve earns up to 5 more points.
- The board on the home page ranks the last 30 days. Calls made before signing in follow your account once you do.
Why it exists
Half of everything launched is gone within ten years, and launch day predicts less than people think. Thousands of calls against real outcomes will show how well anyone, founders and investors included, can tell a winner from a tagline. We publish what we learn on the numbers page.
