In plain words
YoYo is a lightweight comment system built on React and AWS Lambda as an alternative to Disqus. It runs on AWS infrastructure including Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB for the backend, with the React client deployed on S3 and CloudFront. Users can deploy their own instance by setting up AWS credentials and configuring environment variables for email notifications via SendGrid. The system is designed for developers who want a self-hosted commenting solution.
