Would love any feedback, especially on the documentation. Is it clear what the purpose of "Higml" is? Is its advantage clear? Thanks!

    My Downloads folder had been left unkept for a really long time and cleaning it up using Finder was quite cumbersome. So I started creating a simple app to help me filter out and delete or move the files in the folder. It started out very basic and the filtering options genuinely helped me clean out the Downloads folder, then as I thought of more features I would like to see in a file manager I started to add them.     My partner reviews a lot of P&IDs (piping and instrumentation diagrams) and the adjacent files involved (excel, docx, pdfs, acd/l5x, etc). In his company, these are usually done in Bluebeam. It's really hard to see the diff + keep track of all the revisions resulted by these iterations. They end up storing files like "rev3_final_redlined.pdf". We've been looking for something close to Github to do these reviews, but haven't found one easy enough for folks with no CLI experience to understand and use (happy to check out more tools if you know any).     Hi all! I’ve been into the “file-over-app” philosophy lately. The idea of using products through files you can control, in formats that are easy to read and retrieve. I built this directory (https://fileoverapp.latitude.so/) to organize tools following the same principles. The cool thing is most of them are open-source and you can even filter by that.     hey there hn! thought you would appreciate my brand new file format - i've spent over 40 minutes creating this standard. it's really hard trying to get your ideas shown to standards boards etc but i think with the great community here we can help get bioif support into all major browsers :) the spec is available over at the website, as is a reference implementation. it already has higher usage than jpeg-xl. - best
