A tool to de-identify using Stable Diffusion
Hey HN! Really excited to share this new image de-identifier. Kind of like a game of image telephone, you can upload an image and our app will convert the image to a caption, then will generate an image using stable diffusion using the parameters you set for the model yourself. We had so much fun making this and seeing the varying levels of scary generated images.
A tool to de-identify using Stable Diffusion launched on January 18, 2023 with 6 votes, #1,725 of 3,901 launches that month and more than 50% of that year's launches.

Hi HN, this is an early version of what we’re imagining as a truly functional stock photo platform using Stable Diffusion. We’re doing our best to hide the customization prompts on the back end so users are able to quickly search for pre-existing generated photos, or create new ones that would ideally work as well. If we keep going with it, in future versions we’d like to add voting, better tags, and more varied prompts, or maybe whatever you recommend!

This works suprisingly well. Just give it instructions like "make it winter" or "remove the cars" and the photo is altered. The project is called QueryStorm. It uses Roslyn to offer C# (and VB.NET) support in Excel, as an alternative to VBA. I've posted about it before, but a lot has changed since then so figured I'd share an update. The current version includes a host of new features, namely a C# debugger, support for NuGet packages, and the ability to publish Excel extensions to an "AppStore" (which is essentially a NuGet repository).
