A WordPress plugin that rewrites image URLs for near-zero-cost delivery
Hi HN, I built a WordPress plugin called Bandwidth Saver. It takes the images your site already has and serves them through Cloudflare R2 and Workers, which means zero egress fees and extremely low storage cost. The goal is to make image delivery fast and cheap without adding any of the complexity of traditional optimization plugins. The idea is simple. WordPress keeps generating images normally. The plugin rewrites the URLs on the frontend so images are served from a Cloudflare Worker. On the first request, the Worker fetches the original image and stores it in R2. After that, Cloudflare’s…

In plain words
Bandwidth Saver is a WordPress plugin that rewrites image URLs to serve through Cloudflare R2 and Workers, eliminating egress fees and reducing storage costs. Images are stored in R2 on first request, then cached at Cloudflare's edge globally. The plugin requires no configuration, preloading, or syncing—WordPress generates images normally while the plugin handles delivery. If delivery fails, images fall back to the original source. It targets WordPress site owners seeking faster, cheaper image delivery without the complexity of traditional optimization plugins.

Image CDN for WordPress. Serve images from 300+ global edge servers. Faster Core Web Vitals, better SEO. $9.99/mo.
Heavy images slow down your site. When images lag, visitors leave, Core Web Vitals fail, and Google ranks you lower. This image CDN plugin fixes that by serving your images from 300+ global edge servers. A visitor in Tokyo loads images from Asia. A visitor in London loads from Europe. Everyone gets faster pages. 60-second setup. No DNS changes. No external accounts. No settings to configure. Just activate and start delivering. That’s it. Your original files stay exactly where they are on your server. The plugin only changes URLs on your public pages. Deactivate it and everything returns to normal instantly. Unlimited ($9.99/mo) * Unlimited bandwidth * Custom CDN domain…from wordpress.org
