Ad Accelerator

What it does

Ad Accelerator is a free, open-source Chrome extension that takes a different approach to the ad problem. Instead of blocking ads (which kills creator revenue), it mutes the audio and speeds up playback to 16x. A 30-second unskippable ad becomes a 2-second blip. The ad impression still counts, so creators get paid. No network interception, no arms race with YouTube. Manifest V3, MIT licensed.

If there is an ad it temporarily manipulates the video; Mutes the volume, sets speed to 10x, and skips it if there is a button.
