What it does
AI for the Visually Impaired. (2015-2018) Aipoly was the first AI-powered app that identified objects with the phone's camera in real-time. Created in 2015 by Alberto Rizzoli and Simon Edwardsson and exited in 2018.
Aipoly was the first general purpose vision AI model for the real-time identification of common objects. Born in 2015, it has processed over 2 billion images using the processing power of smartphones. 900 dishes from around the world, including raw ingredients. Close to 2000 species of plants and animals can be identified by the app. Select between hearing simple color names, or an advanced list of 200 colors. Object identifications are in real-time and don't require an Internet connection. Aipoly learns thanks to its users. As images are captured and described in text, our AI leans to model vision through language, and how to describe the visual world in words and sentences. For $5 a month…from aipoly.com
