Connect Android to Mac to sync Messages, Clipboard and more

What it does

Sync multiple Android devices to your Mac via local WiFi. - Reply directly to notifications or messages and answer calls. - Have your Android device photos automatically back up to your Mac or to iCloud. - Share links and clipboards between devices - Access auth codes sent via SMS easily on your Mac - Link in web apps like WhatsApp so everything is in one place.

Texts, calls, notifications, files and photo backup from your Android phone, right on your Mac. Everything stays on your own Wi-Fi.

Keep working while your phone stays in your bag. Texts, calls and notifications come to your Mac, files go both ways, and copy on one pastes on the other. Not a mirror of your screen. Proper Mac windows and proper Mac notifications, with your phone doing the work in the background. One on your Mac, one on your phone. Both are small and quick. Your Mac shows a QR code. Point your phone at it and they're paired. Messages, calls, notifications. Turn on what you want, and change your mind any time. Your messages travel straight from your phone to your Mac across the Wi-Fi you're already on. They never touch our servers, because there aren't any. Finally launched a native macOS app (AirText) that syncs Android text messages to Mac. It's built with Xamarin. If you have an Android phone but love your Macbook (like myself) give it a try and let me know what you think. URL: https://www.airtextapp.com/

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

  • I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
