GraphBit2025 · graphbit.ai · ▲437We built GraphBit to solve the reliability gap in AI frameworks. It’s built on a Rust execution core with a Python layer for accessibility — deterministic orchestration, lock-free concurrency, and built-in observability. We’d love feedback from the HN community, especially from those running multi-LLM or agentic workflows at scale.

Maki2022 · maki.sh · ▲84An efficient AI coding agent. Native Rust TUI. Immediate startup, 60 FPS, low memory. Indexes files instead of reading them, chains tools in a sandbox interpreter. Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Z.AI, OpenRouter, Synthetic, or any OpenAI / Anthropic compatible API.
VT Code – Rust TUI coding agent with multi-provider supportApr 2026 · github.com · ▲18Hi HN, I built VT Code, a semantic coding agent. Supports all SOTA and open sources model. Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, Codex. Agent Skills, Model Context Protocol and Agent Client Protocol (ACP) ready. All open source models are support. Local inference via LM Studio and Ollama (experiment). Semantic context understanding is supported by ast-grep for structured code search and ripgrep for powered grep. I built VT Code in Rust on Ratatui. Architecture and agent loop documented in the README and DeepWiki. Repo: https://github.com/vinhnx/VTCode DeepWiki:…

Hey HN, Henry here from Cactus. We open-sourced Needle, a 26M parameter function-calling (tool use) model. It runs at 6000 tok/s prefill and 1200 tok/s decode on consumer devices. We were always frustrated by the little effort made towards building agentic models that run on budget phones, so we conducted investigations that led to an observation: agentic experiences are built upon tool calling, and massive models are overkill for it. Tool calling is fundamentally retrieval-and-assembly (match query to tool name, extract argument values, emit JSON), not reasoning. Cross-attention…
