An SQL Builder in Rust

Hi guys. I just write an SQL builder. I want to know what you think.

An SQL Builder in Rust launched on March 6, 2022 with 15 votes, #1,079 of 3,153 launches that month and more than 75% of that year's launches. The site was still online in September 2026, 4 years on.

In plain words

An SQL Builder in Rust is a development tool written in the Rust programming language that helps construct SQL queries. It is designed for developers who want to build SQL statements programmatically. The tool is open source and available on GitHub. It provides a code-based approach to generating SQL rather than writing queries manually.

Hi everyone! I’m excited to open source GritQL, a Rust CLI for searching and transforming source code. GritQL comes from my experiences with conducting large scale refactors and migrations. Usually, I would start exploring a codebase with grep. This is easy to start with, but most migrations end up accumulating additional requirements like ensuring the right packages are imported and excluding cases which don’t have a viable migration path. Eventually, to build a complex migration, I usually ended up having to write a full codemod program with a tool like jscodeshift. This comes with its own…

  • SQL-tString a t-string SQL builder in Python2025 · github.com · ▲85

SQL-tString is a SQL builder that utilises the recently accepted PEP-750, https://peps.python.org/pep-0750/, t-strings to build SQL queries, for example, from sql_tstring import sql val = 2 query, values = sql(t"SELECT x FROM y WHERE x = {val}") assert query == "SELECT x FROM y WHERE x = ?" assert values == [2] db.execute(query, values) # Most DB engines support this The placeholder ? protects against SQL injection, but cannot be used everywhere. For example, a column name cannot be a placeholder. If you try this SQL-tString will raise an error, col = "x" sql(t"SELECT…

Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

Hi HN! I made many small web games in the past with Unity or Phaser. But this time I wanted to make something completely on my own. So I coded a basic game framework in plain JavaScript, and used it to make Almost Pong. This was a really fun project that taught me a lot about JavaScript, and I plan to make more minimalist games with this framework. Interesting fact: Almost Pong doesn't load any assets, all sprites and sounds are generated with code. Happy to answer questions, and please let me know if you have any feedback on the game. Thanks!
