In plain words
AntiVirus Monitor is a GitHub Action designed to help developers reduce false positives in antivirus scanning. It integrates into GitHub's CI/CD workflows to monitor and manage antivirus detection results during the build process. The tool is particularly useful for software teams whose legitimate code or binaries trigger false positive warnings from security scanners, allowing them to track and address these issues systematically within their development pipeline.

From the sources
The AntiVirus Monitor is a GitHub action that can scan binaries on a schedule and post a GitHub notification when a false positive is found. To add this capability to your repository add a file named .github/workflows/avm.yml with the following contents: This workflow is scheduled to run every 6 hours (at 00:00, 06:00, 12:00, 18:00 PST) and scan files FILE1 and FILE2 for viruses. If an AntiVirus product finds that one of the files is infected (e.g. because of a false positive due to a recent update of the product's signature database), then a GitHub notification is posted. NOTE : In order to have GitHub notifications posted, make sure that you have enabled GitHub Actions notifications under…from github.com

Keep – GitHub Actions for your monitoring tools2023 · github.com · ▲181Hi Hacker News! Shahar and Tal from Keep here. A few months ago, we introduced here at HN (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=34806482) Keep as an “open source alerting CLI” and got some interesting feedback - mainly around UI, automation, and supporting more tools. We were VERY early back then, and we understood that although the current DX around creating alerts is not great, it's not that critical and developers don’t need another tool just for that. But we did find something else. While talking to developers and devops, we found that a lot of companies use many tools…

Since everyone seems to be making a github application, I thought I'd share mine. It's an aggregated view of all of a given person's github projects, as well as easyish lookups for linkedin/stackoverflow/hackernews. It attempts to determine both productivity (how much code did this person write?) as well as impact (did anyone care?) I'd love any feedback, but go easy on the number of simultaneous searches as I'm trying to play nice by github's api limits. check it -- http://www.gitalytics.com

Talanoa▲346Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…
