AppView

I’m a web developer at my day job and an iOS dev on evenings and weekends. I see often that websites for mobile apps are sort of an afterthought and they go stale pretty quickly as the app progresses and there is no time or energy to update the website as well. Which is a shame, as I see in my analytics that around 15% of all downloads originate from web sources, mainly my app's homepage, search, and AI bots recently. I've decided to solve this issue for myself (and hopefully others) with a clean, customizable website template that I could re-use across my apps and that would require minimal…

What it does

AppView is an opinionated template built specifically for iOS app developers. It's optimized to highlight your app's features and drive more downloads. AppView handles all screen sizes, dark and light modes, iPhone bezels around screenshots (and screen recordings), a waitlist for collecting emails, a blog for release notes, and much more, so you can focus on the app itself.

Build a beautiful website for your iOS app in minutes.

AppView is an opinionated website template built specifically for iOS app developers to show their apps to users and drive additional downloads from search results and AI bots. Out of the box, you get a functional, optimized website that only needs screenshots of your app and a few copy changes. Automatic device bezels, dark and light modes, full responsiveness from mobile to desktop, SEO best practices, accessibility, professional design - all covered, and you don't need to think about it. See more features below. No web dev skills needed. Everything is customizable through properties and constants, just like SwiftUI. Documentation will guide you from running the template locally to…from appview.dev

Every morning I'd open App Store Connect in Safari, enter my password for the millionth time, then wait 8 seconds for the dashboard to load and continue fumbling around for what I needed. Everything took too many clicks and way too long to load. I did this for years and got tired of it. Good thing Apple provided API access for all this data. So I finally built the app I wanted, just the way I liked. Fast, keyboard-friendly navigation, data syncs and gets stored only on the local device. Meet AppDesk — a native macOS client built with SwiftUI for App Store Connect. Everything runs locally —…

Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

Hey HN! I wanted to share something I built over the last few weeks: isometric.nyc is a massive isometric pixel art map of NYC, built with nano banana and coding agents. I didn't write a single line of code. Of course no-code doesn't mean no-engineering. This project took a lot more manual labor than I'd hoped! I wrote a deep dive on the workflow and some thoughts about the future of AI coding and creativity: http://cannoneyed.com/projects/isometric-nyc
