Arctype, a cross-platform database GUI for developers and teams

Hi HN! I’m Justin, founder and CEO of Arctype, and we’re very excited to share Arctype with the community. It currently supports Postgres, MySQL, and SQLite, as well as newer-generation databases like ClickHouse, PlanetScale, and Yugabyte (and more coming very soon!). Think of Arctype as “phpMyAdmin meets Postman”. Most of our team grew up learning how to program using the LAMP stack and we missed the experience of interacting with our databases using…

    Aidmin – Web-based database GUI2021 · aidmin.io · ▲97

Hi All, I’ve been working on Aidmin for quite some time now, and finally released a beta version of it. I’ve focused most of my efforts on security, making sure that Aidmin can’t negatively impact your database. I talk about that a little bit in the Security Overview (https://github.com/aidmin-io/docs/blob/main/security-overvie...). I would love to know if Aidmin would be helpful at your workplace, and if not, why? Are there any features that are missing which would make it much more useful? Thank you for checking out the project!

One year ago I open-sourced my very first 'real' project and shared it here. I was a college student in my senior year and desperately looking for a job. At the time of sharing it i couldn't even afford a domain and naively let someone buy the one i had my eyes on lol. It's been a hell of a year with this blowing up, me moving to another country, and switching 2 jobs. In a year we somehow managed to hit 26k stars, grow a 1000+ person discord community, and support 37 languages. I couldn't be more grateful for the community that helped this grow, but now i don't know what direction to take…

Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…
