What it does

Barred keeps an overcrowded macOS menu bar under control. Hide rarely used icons in a collapsible secondary bar, reveal them with one click, reorder items, and choose when the bar hides itself again. It’s a small, native utility with no Dock icon, accounts, analytics, or network access.

Command-drag icons to either side, then click the divider whenever you need the hidden ones. Tuck away menu bar icons that clutter your screen. They’re still running — just out of sight until you want them. Drag icons into the order that makes sense to you. No more fighting with macOS about where things land. Click the divider to bring hidden icons back temporarily. They tuck away again after a delay you control.
