Beekeeper Studio
Version 1.4 - SSH Tunnels, SQL Server, and Clicking Things
Beekeeper Studio launched on May 23, 2020 with 5 votes, #1,437 of 4,813 launches that month and more than 50% of that year's launches. The site was still online in September 2026, 6 years on.
What it does
Beekeeper Studio is a SQL Editor and DB Manager for Windows, MacOS, and Linux. It is 100% open source and free to use. Version 1.4 includes better SSH tunneling, SQL Server AD connections, and you can, erm, click table cells. Which is good.
Windows Integrated Login, Jump Hosts, and being able to click things are some of this week’s key features.
Got another great release for you. This time tidying up some of the more flaky functionality. Weekly emails about SQL, Beekeeper Studio, big data, little data, goldilocks data, and occasional cat photos. We won't spam you or share your info withfrom beekeeperstudio.io

Beehive – Multi-Workspace Agent OrchestratorFeb 2026 · storozhenko98.github.io · ▲47hey hn, i built beehive for myself mostly. it has gotten to the point where my work consists in supervising oc or cc labor at tasks for multiple issues in parallel. my set up used to be zellij with a couple tabs, each tab working in a separate dir and it was a pain to manage all that. i know i could use git worktrees but they're kind of complicated, if you don't know how to use them it is easy to mess up, and i just prefer letting agents run in separate dirs with their own .git and not risk it. while i like zellij and use it inside beehive, i dont like the tabs and i forget where i am half…

Talanoa▲346Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…
