BioMap: Blood Test Tracker

Every blood test you've ever taken, on one timeline

What it does

BioMap turns your blood-test PDFs and photos into one private timeline. Scan or import a report and every biomarker is read, charted against its reference range, and tracked over time — for up to 15 family profiles. Your data stays in your own iCloud.

Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS. This one is all about reading your lab reports correctly. • Smarter biomarker matching. Labs write the same test a dozen ways — "% Transferrin Saturation", "ALBUMIN - SERUM", "Alanine Transaminase (SGPT)". BioMap now recognises these variations and files them under the biomarker you're already tracking, instead of starting a separate one. Results already split across near-duplicate names are joined back together the next time you open the app. • No more guessed ranges. If BioMap doesn't have a reference range for a result, it now shows a plain trend with no range bar and no "In Range" label — rather than a range worked out…from apps.apple.com

I've been really into tracking my biomarkers lately. However, I've found it a pain to deal with blood test reports from different healthcare providers, each with their own unique format. So I built a solution - a web app that automatically extracts biomarkers from any blood test report and organizes them into a beautiful health dashboard, complete with trend graphs. No more manual data entry into spreadsheets! Check it out: https://www.biotracker.me It's a free web app that: * Automatically extracts biomarkers from any blood test report (PDF or image) * Creates visual trends of…

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

  • I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
