BIOS

open standard interface for the human nervous system

BIOS launched on March 14, 2019 with 4 votes. The site was still online in September 2026, 7 years on.

What it does

BIOS' first product is described as akin to a "USB connector for the body" and has been used to develop a Prosthetic Interface Device (PID) that allows amputees to connect a range of prostheses directly to the nervous system.

BIOS Health is unlocking the potential of the nervous system in treating chronic disease by using AI-powered neural interfaces that can automatically read and write neural signals. Beginning with cardiac conditions, BIOS envisions a new field of digital health treatments that use this new data-driven insight from the nervous system to create personalised, precision medicine.
