I made BlogFlock to help myself discover new blogs, and it's been so lovely for that. I think of it as 'RSS feeds in public'. I promise the colour scheme was a coincidence...
BlogFlock, a social RSS feed reader launched on March 8, 2025 with 6 votes and more than 75% of that year's launches. The site was still online in September 2026, 1 year on.
What it does
Create lists of blogs you love, and follow lists created by others. You can even use lists to aggregate Mastodon feeds, newspapers, Reddit subreddits, podcasts - anything that has an RSS or Atom feed. Think of BlogFlock as 'RSS feeds in public', for a web which is more curated, welcoming, and cosy than Big Tech would like us to feel. I saw this [0] pretty cool thread by user revskill, and wanted a quicker way to search through it, but also to keep them all in one place so I can read them at my leisure whenever I get time. Right now is like 60 lines of Ruby using Nokogiri, but I will certainly look into it further down the line and improve the list. There's a cronjob checking the thread every 12 hours but I will eventually shut that down and it will become static after that. There are some really awesome blogs in there.
