Byter shows how much internet data you use, and where. It tracks usage separately for every Wi‑Fi network, phone hotspot and wired connection, so you know exactly what your hotspot bundle went on. You also get live speed, a one-click speed test, daily-to-yearly charts, and gentle alerts when usage spikes. Everything stays on your device. No account, no ads. Available now for Mac, Windows coming soon, in 11 languages.

It runs on macOS 14 Sonoma or later (Apple silicon and Intel). A Windows version is on the way. To install it on a Mac, open: Track your internet consumption, monitor network speed, and understand how your connection performs over time. Check your download speed, upload speed and ping in seconds. See how much data you’ve used on each network you’ve connected to. Byter can only monitor network usage, not the websites or content you access. Location Services are only used to identify your current Wi-Fi or hotspot so usage can be grouped correctly.
