CadenceSync
I love running to music but most songs are always just slightly too slow or too fast. Finding one that matches your exact cadence always feels awesome, and I thought-- there should be an app for that. So this is an attempt to make that happen for any song you have. Still ironing out some kinks here and there, but seems to work pretty well. TestFlight build available if you want to give it a shot.

What it does
CadenceSync is an iOS music app for runners. It dynamically adjusts the tempo of your favorite music to match your desired stride rate (SPM – strides per minute). Whether you prefer 160 or 180 SPM, the music will flex to fit your rhythm.
CadenceSync adjusts music playback speed to match your running cadence with pitch-preserving time-stretching. All audio analysis runs on device.
Adjust music playback speed to match your running cadence. Pitch-preserving time-stretching keeps songs in key while you move. Smart tempo matching, live cadence detection, and a library you control. No subscription required. Overlapping 20-second windows are analyzed with multi-threshold peak detection, spectral onsets, and autocorrelation. Results are clustered and normalized for double/half-time relationships. Candidate SPM-to-BPM ratios are scored by tempo-shift size, ratio simplicity, and musical context. The best mapping is applied, capped at roughly 8% slowdown. AVAudioEngine with pitch-preserving time-stretching changes tempo while keeping songs in key. Runo 2.0Jan 2026 · runoapp.com · ▲132I built Runo after years of inconsistent marathon training. GPS watches tell you your pace AFTER it's too late. So I made a simple metronome that plays a beat at your target cadence (steps per minute). New in 2.0: Apple Watch haptics (run to the beat without headphones), Strava sync, and social features. 4.7 on App Store, 10k+ runners. Would love feedback from the HN community.

Cadence – A guitar theory app2025 · cadenceguitar.com · ▲195Hello HN, I just released this music theory and ear training mobile app for guitar which I've been working on for a bit more than a year on the side. The idea was to make something for the eternally "intermediate" guitarist (myself included). There are a lot of beginner apps which rely on learning songs, toolkits which give you a bunch of stuff with no explanation but not many in-between apps to actually learn and practice more generic and somewhat advanced stuff. The app contains short lessons, recaps and most importantly challenges (visual, audio and pure theory) along with a very complete…

I built the world's most impractical 1000-pixel display and anyone in the world can draw on it. It draws a single pixel at a time and takes 30-60 minutes to complete a single image. Anyone can participate in the project by voting for the next image to be drawn, and submitting images. https://kilopx.com/

Kitten TTS is an open-source series of tiny and expressive text-to-speech models for on-device applications. We are excited to launch a preview of our smallest model, which is less than 25 MB. This model has 15M parameters. This release supports English text-to-speech applications in eight voices: four male and four female. The model is quantized to int8 + fp16, and it uses onnx for runtime. The model is designed to run literally anywhere eg. raspberry pi, low-end smartphones, wearables, browsers etc. No GPU required! We're releasing this to give early users a sense of the latency and voices…

I was wondering how I can arrange objects along a spherical helix path, and read some articles on it. I ended up learning about parametric equations again, and make this visualization to document what I learned: https://visualrambling.space/moving-objects-in-3d/ feel free to visit and let me know what you think!
