Runo
Run faster, longer, injury-free with a beat
Runo launched on July 8, 2025 with 96 votes, #449 of 9,224 launches that month and more than 90% of that year's launches. The site was still online in September 2026, 1 year on.
What it does
Runo turns pace into rhythm. Set your cadence (120-220 SPM), put in your earbuds, and run to the beat. No more pace drift. Why cadence matters: • Reduces impact forces and injury risk • Improves running economy by up to 10% • Maintains form when fatigue hits What's new: • Apple Watch haptic beats (no headphones needed) • Social features: friends & leaderboards • Strava sync • Treadmill mode Built by marathon runners tired of inconsistent pacing. 4.7★ on App Store | 10,000+ runners

Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS. I bought this app and paid the insanely high subscription cost just to have a metronome in my ear when I run. Great, fine, not happy but I did it. But now they dropped an update and it requires you to share your location with the app to function any more. No way around it. I’m sorry but I don’t want my location shared with some company I don’t know just to hear a metronome. Good luck with your app in the future.Update: the developer responded and said that they released an update to allow the user to select metronome only mode. I appreciate their response and app update and have since updated my rating. Thank you dev for…from apps.apple.com

Runo 2.0Jan 2026 · runoapp.com · ▲132I built Runo after years of inconsistent marathon training. GPS watches tell you your pace AFTER it's too late. So I made a simple metronome that plays a beat at your target cadence (steps per minute). New in 2.0: Apple Watch haptics (run to the beat without headphones), Strava sync, and social features. 4.7 on App Store, 10k+ runners. Would love feedback from the HN community.

CadenceSync2025 · erichamiter.com · ▲7I love running to music but most songs are always just slightly too slow or too fast. Finding one that matches your exact cadence always feels awesome, and I thought-- there should be an app for that. So this is an attempt to make that happen for any song you have. Still ironing out some kinks here and there, but seems to work pretty well. TestFlight build available if you want to give it a shot.
Smart RunnerJun 2026 · runnerapp.pro · ▲94Ran my first marathon. Didn’t want to keep paying so much for Runna. So I built a running coach app, and then kept improving it more and more, i think it’s pretty good now. Give it a try and share your thoughts.

Trickle - Magic Canvas ▲1,064Hey HN! Introducing Trickle Magic Canvas: the world’s first Agentic Canvas, where you can visually co-create apps and websites with AI, from idea to production. Why is a canvas better? Most AI tools today rely on linear chats or text prompts. We believe that limits creativity and clarity. Canvas changes the game. 1. Every version & page at a glance. Each page and sub-page lives on a timeline. You can quickly browse, edit, and preview progress like a living, visual document — no more digging through chat logs or scattered states. 2. The canvas is the context. Unlike linear chats, you can…

Today marks ten years, 3653 consecutive days, of running at least one mile every day under the USRSA rules [1]. To celebrate, I built an interactive dashboard that turns a decade of GPX files into charts you can explore. Running has truly changed my life: I've made lifelong friends, explored beautiful places, and more importantly invested into my own health and fitness, which I'm starting to see the positive benefits as I get older. The stack is pretty simple: a NextJS app, with a Postgres database to keep all my running data, and all the stats are pre-computed and cached in Redis, so I…

Made this website as an exercise in vibe-coding and GCP. It was posted about a few times around the internet, on sites like Morning Brew (https://www.morningbrew.com/issues/business-buzzkill), MetaFilter (https://www.metafilter.com/209703/Draw-A-Fish), boingboing.net, etc. I think it's cute! I built a basic CNN trained against penises and swastikas, and then anything that doesn't hit the 63% confidence score gets sent to a mod queue, a vibe-coded fish-tinder…

Hi HN - I made a site that takes a UK postcode, grabs the local MP's information and generates an AI mockup of what their ID might look like. It's a small, silly protest at the stupidity of the Online Safety Act that just came into force. edit - My open AI credits got hugged to death, please use a known postcode (like one from Kier Starmer's constituency, WC2B6NH) in the meantime.
