CADWOLF – Web-based math and engineering platform

CADWOLF integrates mathematics, documentation, and CAD to coordinate and automate the design of large structures.

CADWOLF – Web-based math and engineering platform launched on October 13, 2015 with 26 votes, #1,817 of 4,175 launches that month and more than 75% of that year's launches. The site was still online in September 2026, 11 years on.

In plain words

CADWOLF is a web-based platform that combines mathematics, documentation, and CAD tools for designing large structures. Users create documents through graphical interfaces that function like Google Docs but with programming language capabilities. The platform organizes work through workspaces for file management and permissions, while part trees enable users to build complex structures piece by piece with instant CAD feedback. All project files are accessible in one centralized location.

From the sources

Documents are the backbone of CADWOLF. They are created and edited through GUIs and can be thought of as a Google Doc that has all the power of a programming language. Workspaces act as folders in CADWOLF and provide a place where users can create and locate files, address permissions, and upload images. Part trees let users establish a part numbering scheme and then build large structures — piece by piece. This provides instant feedback from CAD models and design documents, as well as one place to access all files. CADWOLF is more than a free, online replacement for Word, Excel, Matlab, MathCAD, Mathematica, and Jupyter Notebook. CADWOLF's link to CAD platforms, its collaborative nature,…from cadwolf.com

    I wished for a site with a growing list of math problems, I built it2024 · teachyourselfmath.app · ▲384

Good math problems are hidden inside textbooks and online documents. To keep up with all the sources in the world is hard. For someone who just wants to continuously solve problems, finding and going through all the sources feels like a hassle. I wished for a website that could just dump all the math problems available in the world out there. And if I could filter the problems by topics, that would be beautiful. teachyourselfmath is a side project that was born out of this need. At its core, it is a math PDF extraction engine. The engine has some machine learning going on behind the scenes…

  • Diagram as code tool with draggable customizationsOct 2025 · github.com · ▲266

In the past I've used declarative diagram generation tools like Mermaid.js a lot for quickly drawing up things but for presentations or deliverables I find that I have to then move the generated diagrams over to a tool like Lucidchart which allows full control of the organization and customization. Therefore I am now working on this to combine the benefits of both into just one tool which can do both functions. The project is certainly in the early stages but if you find yourself making architecture diagrams I'd love to hear your thoughts on the idea or even a Github issue for a feature…
