Callvent

Turn every phone call into a calendar entry

What it does

I built Callvent because every work call vanished the moment I hung up. Now a call ends, you get a notification, and one tap saves it to the calendar you already use, with contact, note, tag, and callback reminder. Works with regular calls plus WhatsApp, FaceTime, Telegram, Signal, Teams, and Zoom, and writes to iCloud, Google Calendar, Exchange, or CalDAV. Everything stays on your device: no account, no cloud, no tracking. Native for iPhone, Android, Apple Watch, and Wear OS.

Callvent detects calls and helps you create calendar events. Call log tracker, call history, notes, missed call reminders. Free to try, plans from $0.99/month.

Turn phone calls into calendar entries with a contact, time and notes. Free to try from $0.99/mo · 7-day free trial · No tracking You hang up and think: “I need to remember this.” But the next call comes in, the next meeting starts – and the important details slip away. When the app catches the end of a call, it reminds you to create a calendar entry. Otherwise one tap after hanging up does it. Pick a contact, add a quick note, done. The app automatically detects when a call ends and pre-fills the contact, time, and duration. Just add a quick note and save. From phone call to calendar entry – without typing a single name. Contact and call details are pre-filled. Review the entry and…from callvent.app

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

  • I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
