CARE Project

What it does

CARE Project is a volunteer-run dog rescue in Cyprus. We rescue strays, provide vet care, rehabilitate, socialize, and coordinate adoptions to Cyprus, the UK, Germany, and the Netherlands. We're open-sourcing the entire platform. Built with Next.js 16, Tailwind CSS v4, and deployed on Vercel. Adding a dog to the site means adding a markdown file - no CMS, no database.

CARE Project is a volunteer-led project rescuing stray dogs with medical care and rehab, socializing them, and promoting adoption. We help different shelters across Cyprus. Volunteer-led support for shelters: medical care, recovery, foster prep, and adoption/transport so rescued dogs are healthy, confident, and home-ready. Exams, vaccinations, spay/neuter, diagnostics, and medicines: getting dogs healthy and ready for the next step. Post-treatment care, wound management, follow-ups, and monitored rest so dogs heal safely and regain strength.
