ccMarvin – Just Email with AI
Backstory: My name is Michael Stoppelman, I'm a super angel (300+ investments, I've invested in YC companies like Vanta, Flexport, Biorender, Permitflow and Canary Technologies). Prior to that I built and ran the engineering team at Yelp. I thought there was a missing piece to the LLMs where they couldn't talk via email which is where as an investor I work all day. So I built ccMarvin so I could forward emails for summaries, I could get legal feedback on SAFEs or other transactional emails, I could get newsletters on sectors like AI / Space or specific folks I want to follow. What it does
In the maker’s words, at launch
I don't like to use X because I end up getting to sucked in and waste time doom scrolling, I rather get a newsletter. So I'm announcing ccMarvin: a service you can just email at [email protected]. It's like emailing a very smart research analyst or chief of staff that's connected to all the LLMs (Gemini / Claude / ChatGPT & xAI). I've embedded some investor friendly features for tracking your private / public investments via X and other news sources or you can create custom newsletters. Example emails to send [email protected]: "Send me an email everyday Monday on the top AI stories for the previous week." "Create a newsletter everyday that I get at 7am of what @elonmusk and @sama saying yesterday on X" "Can you track SpaceX, Anthropic, and Google news everyday, send me a portfolio update everday at 6am" Check it out and leave some feedback.

- IBI built an AI sales agent that writes and sends cold emails for you2025 · elevatesells.com · ▲6
Hey HN, I’ve been working on ElevateSells — an AI sales agent designed to take the pain out of cold outreach for solo founders and small teams. Here’s how it works: You ask the AI to generate leads or manually use the advanced lead search built in tool. You tell the AI what your business does and what problem it solve. It writes very personalized cold emails, sends them, and follows up — all automatically. You still control the voice and audience — the AI just handles the research, writing, timing, and sending. I built it after burning out managing multiple tools for lead gen, email copy,…
- IHI have built my first AI notetaker. Any feedback?2025 · ▲5
Hey there, While searching for my next role as a PM in Blockchain + AI, I started building an AI-powered notetaker called MindNote: https://www.mindnote.online. The idea is simple: you input your thoughts, and AI helps you complete or modify them. If you decide to test it, try using the prompt: Keep this text and…"(add budget, complete list, organize alphabetically, add their translation, etc.). The first big release is all about modifying your notes with AI prompts. The next big step? Capturing thoughts directly from the mind using brain-to-text technology. There is a 3 days free…

Hey HN, I’m a solopreneur and have been in the SaaS space for the past 3 years. My last 3 startups failed, and a common challenge in all of them was figuring out how to reach my audience. Recently I started with cold outreach (its a struggle, since I dont have much experience with marketing). I am finding leads mainly using exa.ai websets (web vector search, extremelly good for multiple use cases, recommend checking them out) and then sending them through smartlead. I ran the campaign for the past 30 days and 12-15% emails always bounced. This wasted my email credits & chances of reaching…

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.

Hey HN, Henry from Cactus here! We previously released Cactus Needle, a 14MB agentic LLM for tool call, device use, and structured extraction for phones, wearables, smart homes, small robots and microcontrollers. We got really great feedback here, and have now incorporated the suggestions to release Needle 2. The whole model is a single 14MB binary that runs a full session in 28MB of RAM; 45m parameters at 2bit compression. Needle hits 500 tokens/sec decode speed on a Raspberry Pi 5, sits between 400-1,500 tokens/sec on VR devices like Meta Quest 3S and Apple Vision Pro, and ranges…

- H6Homebrew 6.0.0▲1,481
Today, I’m proud to announce Homebrew 6.0.0. The most significant changes since 5.1.0 are a new tap trust security mechanism, the new faster, smaller, default internal Homebrew JSON API, sandboxing on Linux, better defaults informed by our user survey, many brew bundle improvements, improved performance and initial support for macOS 27 (Golden Gate). Happy to discuss any questions here!
