ChangeLatch
Review AI changes. Apply safely.
What it does
AI coding agents can make unwanted changes, creating more review and repair work. ChangeLatch uses a different workflow: send a project ZIP + prompt to web AI, get exact patches back, review and apply them locally in one click, then run automatic verification. No direct AI write access, no complex agent setup, lower cost, and more control.
ChangeLatch is a local Windows tool for reviewing and safely applying AI-generated BEFORE/AFTER code patches with exact matching, backups, build verification, and rollback.
Generate precise PATCH instructions with web-based AI, then apply changes safely with exact matching, automatic backups, builds, and rollback. Built for hobbyists and professional developers who want an efficient AI coding workflow without maintaining a local agent or paying for a separate API. Turn AI-generated code changes into structured PATCH workflows with precise matching and controlled replacements. Select your project folder, exclude unnecessary files, and prepare a project ZIP for AI analysis. Generate a dedicated prompt and send it with your project ZIP, so AI can create PATCH changes based on your real project. Paste the AI-generated PATCH, instantly match and replace code, then…from thinkitdoneapp.com

Hey HN! We’ve been building an MCP server to help AI-assisted web app developers by using browser agents to test whether changes made by an AI inside an editor actually work. We've been testing it on scenarios like verifying new flows in a UI, or checking that sending a chat request triggers a response. The idea is to let your coding agent both code and evaluate if what it did was correct. Here’s a short demo with Cursor: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_AoQK-bwR0w When building apps, we found the hardest part of AI-assisted coding isn’t the coding—it’s tedious point-and-click…

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.

Hey HN, Henry from Cactus here! We previously released Cactus Needle, a 14MB agentic LLM for tool call, device use, and structured extraction for phones, wearables, smart homes, small robots and microcontrollers. We got really great feedback here, and have now incorporated the suggestions to release Needle 2. The whole model is a single 14MB binary that runs a full session in 28MB of RAM; 45m parameters at 2bit compression. Needle hits 500 tokens/sec decode speed on a Raspberry Pi 5, sits between 400-1,500 tokens/sec on VR devices like Meta Quest 3S and Apple Vision Pro, and ranges…

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…
