Ciphera
Zero-Knowledge KYC Infrastructure for Algorand Blockchain.
What it does
Ciphera solves the fundamental Web3 dilemma - How do protocols prevent Sybil attacks and comply with regulations while maintaining the absolute privacy of their users? Using Groth16 zk-SNARKs, and ECIES Encryption, Ciphera creates a decentralized, privacy-first identity standard for Algorand. Users prove they hold a valid government-issued ID and meet specific criteria (e.g., age ≥ 18, Indian citizen) without ever revealing personal data, biometrics, or addresses on-chain or off-chain.

Hi HN, We (myself, Adhyyan1252 and yush_g) are undergrad students that hacked out this side project last month during Hack Lodge[1] (the ideas and many of the underlying circuits for which came from the 0xPARC community[2])! We’re extremely excited to share this new primitive. Besides the technical challenges building this project that folks here would find interesting (fixing the ZK proof compiler, modifying nodeJS V8 params etc.), we think this is a very novel use case for ZK tech, and ECDSA inside ZK-SNARKs is a starting point that unlocks many other ideas! :D A summarized version of our…

This is a project I made to learn more about crypto. I've also written a [post](https://vaktibabat.github.io/posts/ecurvechat/) that explains all the crypto concepts and algorithms used in the project, and how I implemented them. I'd be very glad for any feedback about both the code and the post :)
