Hey HN I read and research multiple things, both for work and personal curiosity. But I realized that in doing so, I have to frequently switch among many reading tabs and note-taking pages, which breaks my reading flow. That's why I teamed up with my friends to build Saner.ai Chrome Extension. It’s a side panel note that appears across tabs, and we can toggle it on and off whenever we like. Also, we can highlight any text and then use keyboard shortcuts to save it along with its URL. I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it.
