Clipport
Paste screenshots into remote SSH sessions
Clipport launched on May 29, 2026 with 3 votes, #3,449 of 20,538 launches that month and more than 50% of that year's launches.
What it does
Clipport makes image paste work in remote iTerm sessions. Copy a screenshot on your Mac, paste once, and the SSH host gets a real /tmp/clipport/... image path, without disrupting text clipboard flow. Built for remote dev, terminal agents, and TUI workflows where screenshots need to become files, not upload chores.
Paste Mac clipboard text and screenshots into remote iTerm SSH sessions. - arihantsethia/clipport
clipport Paste Mac clipboard text, images, and screenshots into remote iTerm SSH sessions. Clipport lets you share images and screenshots over SSH without saving files by hand or running one-off scp commands. One iTerm paste shortcut works across local and remote shells: Clipport detects the active session, reads the Mac clipboard, and chooses the right paste behavior. If your Mac clipboard has text, the remote shell receives text. If it has an image or screenshot, Clipport uploads it over SSH and inserts the remote path. /tmp/clipport/yourname/clipboard-20260428-132708.241851.png Use Clipport when a remote process needs the thing on your Mac clipboard: a screenshot, an image, or plain text…from github.com

Hey HN, Henry here from Cactus. We open-sourced Needle, a 26M parameter function-calling (tool use) model. It runs at 6000 tok/s prefill and 1200 tok/s decode on consumer devices. We were always frustrated by the little effort made towards building agentic models that run on budget phones, so we conducted investigations that led to an observation: agentic experiences are built upon tool calling, and massive models are overkill for it. Tool calling is fundamentally retrieval-and-assembly (match query to tool name, extract argument values, emit JSON), not reasoning. Cross-attention…
