Cloakly
I built a Windows tool to solve a problem I kept running into during live coding interviews and proctored assessments. I wanted to keep reference notes or personal apps open on my own screen without exposing them to the interviewer or screen-share software. Cloakly hides specific windows from the screen-share stream while keeping them fully visible locally. It works with Zoom, Teams, Meet, Loom, and most proctoring tools. Right now the core engine works, and I'm looking for beta testers to help with edge cases before the public release. Would love feedback from anyone who regularly…

What it does
Cloakly is a lightweight Windows app that lets you hide sensitive windows like personal messages, banking tabs, or distractions during screen shares on Zoom, Teams, Discord, or OBS. Unlike basic workarounds like alt-tabbing or virtual desktops, hidden apps stay fully usable and visible only to you, no interruptions to your workflow.
The best way to hide apps while screen sharing. Cloakly keeps your private windows invisible to Zoom, Teams, and Discord. Secure your desktop privacy today.
Never leak private Slack chats, Zillow tabs, bank account balances, password managers, or Stripe API keys during your next screen share. Instantly shield Stripe API keys, internal Slack budgets, password managers, and bank balances from Zoom, Teams, and Discord capture feeds while keeping them fully usable on your screen. Keep stream scripts, outline plans, or client consulting briefs pinned above your workspace without broadcasting them. Fade reference windows back with controlled transparency to view sensitive cheat sheets or notifications without leaking them to the stream. Remove background Zillow searches, private banking folders, and password clients from taskbar previews and Alt+Tab…from getcloakly.com
In the maker’s words, at launch
Coding interviews make candidates expose their entire desktop while interviewers keep their notes private. I built a Windows tool that hides selected windows from the screen-share stream so candidates finally get basic privacy. Some people call this cheating. Others call it overdue. Curious where this community…

Hey HN! I wanted to share something I built over the last few weeks: isometric.nyc is a massive isometric pixel art map of NYC, built with nano banana and coding agents. I didn't write a single line of code. Of course no-code doesn't mean no-engineering. This project took a lot more manual labor than I'd hoped! I wrote a deep dive on the workflow and some thoughts about the future of AI coding and creativity: http://cannoneyed.com/projects/isometric-nyc
