Clocked Live

Couldn't afford attendance software, so I built it free.

Clocked Live launched on August 12, 2026 with 3 votes, #2,940 of 23,274 launches that month and more than 50% of that year's launches.

What it does

I needed attendance and leave tracking for my own company and couldn't afford what was out there, most tools charge per seat or hide reports behind a paywall. I built it for my own team, then opened it up for other small teams and startups in the same spot. One-tap check-in/out and breaks, leave requests with one-click approval, a live HR dashboard, geo-fenced check-ins, CSV exports for payroll. Free up to 20 employees, forever. $19/month flat after that, up to 500 employees.

Employee attendance app with live check-in, face and GPS checks, shift rosters, leave and comp-off, and payroll-ready reports. Free for up to 20 employees.

The employee attendance app for your whole team - check-ins, breaks, and leave requests feed a live dashboard for HR, so nobody's guessing who's actually at their desk. Designed for fast-moving hybrid and distributed teams who want total transparency without creepy monitoring tools. The roster below is the same live view that lives on your actual Dashboard - with each person's real uploaded photo and real status. No stock icons, no guessing who's actually online. Set your office coordinates once. Check-ins from outside the radius get flagged automatically - no manual policing needed. One Excel sheet per month with payable days, paid and unpaid leave, half days, late marks and overtime -…from clockedlive.com

Hey Hacker News! This is my first post here. About 5 months ago, I left my job because I was completely burnt out. After taking some time off, I started freelancing. But I found tracking my time to be a real hassle as I kept forgetting to start or stop the timer and often had no idea what I’d worked on. So, I decided to build Taim as a side project, while also working now on some freelancing gigs. Taim is going to be automated time tracking tool for freelancers and teams. It’s designed to make tracking time effortless and accurate, so you can focus on your work and not worry about the clock.…

Hi everyone, I got tired of the daily "Where is everyone working from?" / "Who's coming in today" messages in various slack channels. So I built *FindMyTeam*: it's a Slack app that pings your team once a day with three buttons – Home, Office, Traveling – and then shows a quick who's‑where summary (plus a monthly heat‑map in the App Home to see patterns). How it works: * Once a day the app posts a reminder to check-in * Either hit one of the three buttons, or use natural language (AI, yo! ;) * The app maintains a summary each day in the channel * Reminder times can be customized per…

I'm trying to disrupt the insane pricing of uptime monitoring. I hope you'll help me out. I'm trying to create the absolute cheapest dev monitoring tool on the market, while still being competitive with all the others. This means $3/month plan, while still having monitoring for: Website, REST API, UDP/TCP, ICMP, Heartbeat/CRON, WS/WSS, DNS, Domain Intel/expiry and SSL. Everything with unlimited alerts through webhooks. I'm also taking an unlimited approach to the amount of checks you can have. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

  • Hey HN, We recently built Clipto. It’s a tool that lets you search over terabytes of video, audio, and images on your computer, without relying on the cloud. Motivation: we probably all had this similar experience, we know a moment exists in a video or audio, but finding it takes hours scrubbing the timeline. You can send all the media to process in the cloud, but it’s slow, expensive and raises privacy concerns. So we decided to build our own on-device media search engine. How it works (high level): 1. We ingest video, audio, image; normalize formats via ffmpeg; run content analysis to…

  • Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…
