ClockOut

GPS time clock and scheduling for hourly teams

What it does

ClockOut helps hourly teams track time without app-store installs. Employees clock in from any phone browser with GPS stamps and geofence rules, or use a shared PIN kiosk. Managers schedule shifts, approve PTO, monitor overtime and exceptions, then export payroll-ready CSVs for ADP, Gusto, QuickBooks, or a generic format. Offline punches keep their original tap time. Free for up to 2 employees; paid plans start at $3 per employee/month.

Employee time clock app for small businesses with GPS clock-ins, scheduling, overtime tracking, PTO, and payroll exports. Free for up to 2 employees.

A one-tap employee time clock with a GPS stamp on every punch, schedules that catch no-shows, and a payroll export you never retype. Staff clock in from a phone, a shared tablet, or the web. Clock in, take a break, clock out. See the week's shifts, swap one, request PTO, check hours before payday. Nothing to learn, and nothing to install if they'd rather use the browser. Every punch lands against the shift it belongs to. What matches goes straight through. What does not shows up in one queue, with the fix a tap away. Approve hours once, lock the period, and hand payroll the file it already understands. The bill follows the people actually working, so deactivating someone drops it. Phone,…from useclockout.com

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

  • I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
