Cocolor
Play intuitively with colors & try to make the pic blend in
Cocolor launched on October 23, 2024 with 100 votes, #527 of 5,185 launches that month and more than 75% of that year's launches. The site was still online in September 2026, 1 year on.
What it does
Colors in digital environments are created using RGB sliders or palettes, but RGB mixing differs from how physical pigments mix. Cocolor bridges this gap by offering a digital color creation method and game that taps into our intuition for subtractive mixing.
Cocolor is an interactive app to play with colors.
Recreate the six background colors by mixing the three primary pigment colors! Be the fastest to recreate the background color from the three primary color pigments. The loser serves the tea! Cocolor is both an app and a method used in physical workshops and cultural offerings. Rosy Lamb is adapting Cocolor for museum education workshops, inspired by her practice of mixing oil paints. Recent workshops have taken place at the Fondation Louis Vuitton, Paris. Rosy Lamb’s Cocolor is the basis of an artist-led interactive family tour offered in association with Paris Muse. Visitors learn to recreate colors in paintings from the collection of the Musée d'art Moderne in Paris. We organize talks on…from cocolor.app

Colorfle – A daily color mixing game inspired by Wordle2022 · colorfle.com · ▲96Hi HN, I was inspired by Wordle to make Colorfle, a different take on the genre where the goal is to mix colors together to match the target color within six tries. There were some interesting problems to tackle in making this game, one of them being the difference between mixing digital colors and real-life behavior (in RGB, blue + yellow = grey!). I hope you enjoy it -- any feedback would be much appreciated!
