Colorfle – A daily color mixing game inspired by Wordle
Hi HN, I was inspired by Wordle to make Colorfle, a different take on the genre where the goal is to mix colors together to match the target color within six tries. There were some interesting problems to tackle in making this game, one of them being the difference between mixing digital colors and real-life behavior (in RGB, blue + yellow = grey!). Match the Colorfle in six tries. The target color is composed of three unique colors mixed together. The guess here is that the Colorfle is composed of 50% blue, 30% red, and 20% yellow. Guesses in the wrong spot will be highlighted in yellow (This color is in the answer but is in the wrong spot). Colors that are correct but in the wrong spot will be highlighted in yellow. Colors that are correct, and in the right spot will be highlighted in green. Click the result circle to compare against a previous guess. The order of the colors matters. While on paternal leave, I wanted to create a game my newborn daughter could eventually play and learn something from. I was heavily inspired by the daily puzzle games I consistently play such as Wordle and Strands. Refractor is a game about connecting colored tiles together to reach all the goals. Use "refractor" tiles to combine two colors together but be careful not to trap yourself in! The game is won when all goals are fulfilled.
