In plain words
Container Use for Agents is a tool designed to help manage containerized environments for agent-based systems. It enables developers and DevOps engineers to organize and deploy agents within container infrastructure more effectively. The software is built on GitHub and targets teams working with distributed agent systems who need streamlined container orchestration and configuration management for their applications.

Containerized environments for coding agents. (📦🤖) (📦🤖) (📦🤖) Container Use lets coding agents do their work in parallel environments without getting in your way. Go from babysitting one agent at a time to enabling multiple agents to work safely and independently with your preferred stack. See the full documentation . It's an open-source MCP server that works as a CLI tool with Claude Code, Cursor, and other MCP-compatible agents. Powered by Dagger . 🦺 This project is in early development and actively evolving. Boxes.devJun 2026 · boxes.dev · ▲112Hi HN, we’re Nick and Drew, and we’re building boxes.dev – the first cloud-only agentic dev environment (ADE) that gives every Codex and Claude Code agent its own cloud computer. We’re two engineers who previously built Gem (co-founder/CTO and first hire), and we spent the last year coding almost exclusively using Codex and Claude Code. It’s been a huge change to how we code, and it’s been exhilarating seeing the models keep getting better – but we eventually realized that developing on localhost was holding us back: - Git worktrees are clunky to set up and use for parallelizing work -…
Sandbox Agent SDK – unified API for automating coding agentsJan 2026 · github.com · ▲41We’ve been working with automating coding agents in sandboxes as of late. It’s bewildering how poorly standardized and difficult to use each agent varies between each other. We open-sourced the Sandbox Agent SDK based on tools we built internally to solve 3 problems: 1. Universal agent API: interact with any coding agent using the same API 2. Running agents inside the sandbox: Agent Sandbox provides a Rust binary that serves the universal agent API over HTTP, instead of having to futz with undocumented interfaces 3. Universal session schema: persisting sessions is always problematic, since…
FleetCode – Open-source UI for running multiple coding agents2025 · github.com · ▲103Hi HN! I've recently been finding productivity in running parallel CLI coding agents(after not believing in them initially). After having to do a ton of git stashing and branch fumbling, I decided I needed to something to more ergonomically run these agents in their own dedicated spaces. I tried a lot of the existing products but they either were too convoluted or flat out didn't work. Some of them also seem to roll their own chat UI which I don't think is the right approach, I wanted to something to lightly wrap my terminal sessions. So I built FleetCode! It uses git worktrees and let's you…

Talanoa▲343Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

Hey HN! Pilots everywhere are required to keep a logbook of all their flying hours, aircraft, airports, and so on. Since I track everything digitally (some people still just use paper logbooks!), I put together some data visualizations and a few 3D globes to show my flying history. This globe is probably my favourite so far: https://jameshard.ing/pilot/globes/all If you’ve got ideas for other graphs or ways to show this kind of data, I’d love to hear them!

I was the main contributor to workout.lol, an open-source fitness app to easily build a workout routine. The project had traction (1.4k GitHub stars, 95 forks, ~20K visits/month), but was eventually sold due to video licensing hurdles. The new owner stopped maintaining it, and the repo went abandoned. Over the next 9 months, I sent 15 emails to try to save it : no replies. Feature requests & issues were ignored. The community was left with a "broken" tool let's say. I couldn't just let it die So I built the new version from scratch with the same open-source spirit, but a better…
