Convert screenshots of equations to LaTeX
In plain words
Mathpix converts images of mathematical equations into LaTeX code. Users photograph or upload screenshots of equations, and the tool generates the corresponding LaTeX markup that can be used in documents and papers. It's designed for students, researchers, and anyone working with mathematical typesetting who wants to avoid manually coding complex equations. The service handles a wide range of equation types and mathematical notation.

I've made a website to easily share a LaTeX math formula. - The image is created in the browser (i.e. the LaTeX is not send to a server for rendering) - Native share dialog (share via WhatsApp etc.) - Extra keyboard buttons for symbols like "$" or "\" on mobile - Share via png or unicode Demo video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/fGuTns5Nt9Q Please let me know any feedback on how to improve the website.
- ACA Chrome extension that converts formula images to LaTeX2025 · chromewebstore.google.com · ▲5
Hey everyone, I recently built a free Chrome extension called Formula to LaTeX that lets you convert any formula from an image, screenshot directly into clean LaTeX code. No signup. Just: 1. Paste or drag & drop an image of the formula 2. Get the LaTeX code instantly 3. Copy it with one click It works great for math, physics, and chemistry formulas, super helpful if you're working on problem sets, papers, or presentations and don’t want to retype complex equations. Would love any feedback! I'm still improving it, so feel free to roast it or share ideas

- CAConvert any screenshot into clean HTML code using GPT Vision (OSS tool)2023 · github.com · ▲358
Hey everyone, I built a simple React/Python app that takes screenshots of websites and converts them to clean HTML/Tailwind code. It uses GPT-4 Vision to generate the code, and DALL-E 3 to create placeholder images. To run it, all you need is an OpenAI key with GPT vision access. I’m quite pleased with how well it works most of the time. Sometimes, the image generations can be hilariously off. See here for a replica of Taylor Swift’s Instagram page: https://streamable.com/70gow1 I initially had a hard time getting it to work on full page screenshots. GPT4 would code…

Hi HN, I built Eigendrum, a web tool that solves the 2D wave equation for arbitrary shapes so you can hear what they sound like as drums. How it works: * Solves -∇²u = λu using finite element analysis (Kφ = λMφ) on a triangle mesh. * Validated to <0.1% error against closed-form solutions for circles (Bessel zeros) and rectangles. * Sound model factors in strike location, Rayleigh damping, and mallet width. * Includes Kac drums I & II to demonstrate identical sound spectra from different geometries. * No frameworks, build steps, or dependencies. Repo and tests:…
