These were some of the problems we identified: - Most recipe websites are what I call "mommy blogs", and the principal problem is that the recipe ingredient list and instructions are buried in a SEO-laden essay that we don't care about.   I created a wiki which is intended to be a culinary encyclopedia. The idea came to me when I wanted to know about the culinary properties of rosemary–how it should be used, what culinary heritage it originates from, etc. The Wikipedia page for rosemary is too generic and not tailored towards culinary info. I was surprised that something like CulinaryWiki didn’t already exist. There is basically nothing here yet (except the Rosemary page). I wanted to show HN to see if other cooking enthusiasts wanted to contribute some pages.

  Hi all, I’m a parent and meal planning for my kids always felt overwhelming. I built a web app that would let me create profiles for my children, plan their meals, put their meal preferences, recipes, export the plan to my calendar, and share links to the timetable with others, and of course an AI helping with the plan and recipe . For now it has a free plan and also paid plan with more functionalities. I hoped it would be helpful for other parents. So i shared it with some family and friends.
