What it does

Cooldown is a private, local-first iPhone and iPad app that adds a thoughtful pause before online purchases. Browse normally in its protected browser or Safari extension. During hours you choose, it pauses Add to Cart, Buy Now, and checkout actions with a short countdown and a quiz, memory, or Snake reset. Save the item to reconsider later or continue when the pause ends. No accounts, ads, analytics, or cloud tracking—your schedule, waiting list, and history stay on your device.

  I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano.
