Crew

A tiny crew of monsters for your Claude Code agents

What it does

Crew gives every Claude Code chat and subagent a body: a little pixel monster that walks along the bottom of your screen, digs while it works, sleeps when it's idle, and waves when it's done. Free for macOS. Nothing ever leaves your Mac.

Crew puts a little pixel creature on your screen for every Claude Code chat and subagent. Free, with a $12 one-time Pro upgrade.

One little creature per Claude Code chat and subagent, wandering along the bottom of your screen. A glance tells you what your agents are up to. Running five chats at once is easy. Knowing which one is waiting on you still means alt-tabbing to find out . Crew watches through hook scripts, so anything that speaks the same lifecycle gets a creature. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot and Cursor sessions stand side by side on the same row — the species comes from the repo, not the tool. A subagent always gets the same species, so you learn to read the row. Every chat hashes into one of the ten and keeps it — for that repo, on any machine. The eleventh is not in the hash at all. Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

  • I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
