In plain words
Cronexpr is a Rust library that parses and iterates through crontab expressions. It is designed for developers who need to work with cron scheduling syntax in Rust applications. The library handles the parsing of standard cron format strings and provides iteration capabilities to determine when scheduled tasks should execute. It offers comprehensive documentation and is suitable for projects requiring cron job scheduling functionality.

From the sources
cronexpr is a library to parse and drive the crontab expression. For more complex and edge cases, read the Edge cases section. This crates supports all the syntax of standard crontab and most of the non-standard extensions. The mainly difference is that this crate may accept an explicit timezone in the crontab expression, which is necessary to determine the next timestamp. The timezone is required by default. You can use parse_crontab_with to switch to the optional timezone mode. Timezone is parsed internally by [ jiff::tz::TimeZone::get ][TimeZone::get]. It supports all the timezone names in the IANA Time Zone Database. See the list of time zones . For months, it can be 1-12.…from docs.rs

I'm making a dynamic language in Rust2022 · github.com · ▲184An implementation of a dynamic programming language in Rust. Includes: Parser/Compiler, REPL, Virtual Machine, Bytecode Disassembler This started out as a learning project to teach myself Rust. It has grown into a decently substantial piece of software and I've learned quite a bit in the process! Some neat things: + A garbage collector that can store dynamically sized types without any double-indirection (i.e. I have my own Box implementation with manual alloc/dealloc) + The smart pointer used to reference GCed data is a thin pointer. The ptr metadata needed for DSTs is stored in…

Run – a CLI universal code runner I built while learning Rust2025 · github.com · ▲96Hi HN — I’m learning Rust and decided to build a universal CLI for running code in many languages. The tool, Run, aims to be a single, minimal dependency utility for: running one-off snippets (from CLI flags), running files, reading and executing piped stdin, and providing language-specific REPLs that you can switch between interactively. I designed it to support both interpreted languages (Python, JS, Ruby, etc.) and compiled languages (Rust, Go, C/C++). It detects languages from flags or file extensions, can compile temporary files for compiled languages, and exposes a unified REPL…

Talanoa▲340Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…
