Crystal clear and natural sounding Google TTS voices
Google bought a company called Phonetic Arts last year to make their synthesized voices a lot more natural. I think they've just started implementing that technology in Google Translate. I don't think it works for too many languages yet, but English and Spanish voices sound very natural, almost real. Write something in the text box and then press to sound button to check it out. I'm not sure if it matters, but I'm using Chrome. I know Google has just released some TTS API's for Chrome recently.
